Looking back to look forward

Three things happened today, that made me realise we are moving forward and maybe even getting better.

Sophie's teacher from Riverside called to find out how she is getting on at Redcliffe, after updating him we both reflected and agreed that it was all very positive, especially bearing in mind she did not go to school at ll in the summer term.

Sophie came home with the news that she got 67% in her first Chemistry test, A level Chemistry is not for the faint hearted as many of you know, so an amazing result and she looked quite pleased with herself. :)

Ella had to go and have her PICC line maintained and cleaned at the Oncology Hospital today, it has to be done every week.  It makes life a lot easier to pump stuff into her like blood and chemo and take stuff out!  Anyway, it reminded me of Tuesday 30 August when she had the PICC put in, she was very scared, traumatised and unhappy, but they put it in and now its business as usual and part of her body and helping her to get better :)
It's not always good to look back - but today it was!
