Thanks to the joys of the BT Open Zone wifi hot spot going down I have not been able to blog over the past day or so, sorry!

Great news Ella has been discharged from Oxford and we arrived  home late this evening (horrible drive in the wind and heavy rain).  So after 13 nights in hospital - Ella will climb into her own bed for a few nights and will enjoy the peace and quiet of being home.

What did they do in Oxford - well they cut back into her shoulder through her old biopsy site (the site we we have just spent 2.5 months trying to close it up - thanks guys!) and scooped out all the infected gunk (yuck) that was causing the infection and temperature.  So yet another general anaesthetic, recovery etc etc

The consultant positioned the situation really positively and said that the chemo has worked so well at breaking the  tumour down it has created lots of gunky liquid which in turn has become infected.  So infection aside its kind of positive news - I think!

We got loads more info about the big operation in January, but I will save that for another update, to weary and worn out to type any more.

More chemo and time in hospital (Bristol) from next Tuesday for 5 nights

So lovely to be home and see Sophie - who has gone and got herself a job!  WH Smiths at Templemeads, starting this Saturday!  She sorted it all out on her own :)
