Just back from the hospital where the Doctors have said there is no way Ella can leave hospital yet. Her temperature is still spiking which means they have not yet got on top of the infection. They are fairly confident that the infection is due to a collection of fluid in her upper right arm (near the tumour) and for what ever reason its not responding to the antibiotics she is on.
So - they have changed the antibiotics and may well try and drain the fluid off tomorrow and/or we may have to go to Oxford on Wednesday so her team can review what to do first hand.
This may all delay her chemotherapy which was due to start on Wednesday this week - not sure what the implications of this are.......
Tonight will be night 9 in a row in hospital. Re arrange these words into a familiar sentence "walls, the, climbing" and that's just me - never mind poor Ella who has to stay in there 24/7
PS this is from Annie one of Ella's best friends - Dreams
annie, what a tune! hope this lightens the mood for ella. though im sure its difficult having been in hospital so long now. hope you get some good news soon. :) lots of love from georgina xxx
