and finally ....

.....at 10.40am this morning we are home!

We were discharged from Oxford yesterday evening and Ella was allowed to come and sleep at home, but had to be in the Bristol Oncology unit by 8am this morning to be "admitted" back into Bristol and then "discharged" to the home care nursing team!   Process.process, process.... but we got there in the end.

Chemotherapy will start again on Monday 23 Jan, so another week to rest and recuperate from the operation.  A nurse will come each day to give her intravenous anti biotics.

Ella now tucked back up in bed and catching up on sleep.  Neither of us slept well last night - not nearly enough familiar hospital noises and routines - buzzing, bleeping, trundling trolleys, footsteps, poking/proding (the later for Ella only, I hasten to add) to secure a good nights sleep!

On a final note for today....

THE TUMOUR IS OUT!!!!!!

and Sophie finishes her AS levels today - Chemistry!!!

It was so lovely to have both my girls under one roof last night and not having to try and tear myself in two.

Happy and peaceful weekends everyone X
