Ella is home from hospital after an intensive week of aggressive chemo treatment. Loaded with chemo she could barely keep her eyes open long enough for Bob to drive her from the hospital to home. She is now tucked up on the sofa under her duvet "out for the count" whilst the chemo storms her body - hopefully doing more good than harm.
Of course her exhaustion is not just down to chemo and hospital living. Grief is tiring and energy sapping - its hard to put one foot in front of the other with heavy legs and a heavy heart.
But being home will help and the great cliche "time will heal" - applies to both Ella recovering from this bout of chemo and of course getting used to Granny being no more.
If all goes well, Ella will be home for two weeks before going back in for yet more chemo...
