Ella started chemo again at 12.45 today. She went into hospital last night and it took from 8.30pm till 12.45 today for them to make the decision and start again!
This is the chemo called methotrexate - it only takes four hours to run into her, but then she has to stay in hospital till it's out of her system. History tells us (she has had this one five times before) that this will take about 5 days, so maybe Sunday or Monday. It does not make her feel particularly ill, its just very tedious being in hospital! So I think visitors may be in order if anyone fancies popping in for an hour.

Methotrexate sounds scary, but Ella is surrounded with the best people, doing their very best for her. Sending lots and lots of love. Hope her hospital stay is as short as possible. And tell her to look forward to a skype with the girlies when she is up to it :) Can't wait to speak to her soon. xxx Georgina
ReplyDeleteFunny Ella, am down in New Forest with friends tonight, and Jane's sister has psariasis arthritis and has just been subscribed Methotrxate to alleviate the symptoms as there is no cure........ Let's hope it's the wonder drug it's made out to be....... Uncle Jim x
