A busy Wednesday ahead.....

....today was quite busy - including an interesting few hours at the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre, the holistic, complimentary approach.  I think it may be useful, we shall see - as per usual Ella the youngest by a mile!

Tomorrow looking busier

Ella has been called for cycle five - so assuming there is a bed available and she is well enough then so say she will start the next cycle.  However, her oncologist has promised to meet with her first and discuss all her concerns and questions.  He has promised to do that off the ward before the chemo goes up.  So that will mean a visit to the "fish room".   Officially called the family room - with fish tank in corner which someone some where thinks makes rooms and meetings like that better!  Who are they kidding the fish are grotesque, gormless and don't help matters at all!!!

Tomorrow also brings a review meeting with Sophie's team - no fish, but very low chairs and the ubiquitous box of tissues on the table in the middle!

So lots going on, questions to be asked and answers hopefully provided - but in reality there will be no definitive answers or clarity - simply markers and pointers that are hopefully positive and move us all forward - what ever forward looks like.

  1. Good luck tomorrow, to both of your lovely girls and to you. I'm sure the poor old fish wish they could help. I think I'm beginning to identify with them. Kate x

  4. Good luck whatever the outcome of the meeting is. And same to Soph. Sending lots of love and hugs (the hugs don't have to be virtual and tell Ella I can be there whenever today/tomorrow :) ) xxx Georgina
