Still taking the heads down approach......

......so not sure what is going to happen?!.....

In the mean time we are off to the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre  tomorrow.

We are very lucky to have this centre on our doorstep and I am hoping that it may just give Ella the help and additional support she needs to battle on.   You can click on the link and read more about their approach called the Bristol Approach - but here is a quick copy and paste for you..

What is the Bristol Approach?

The Bristol Approach, developed by doctors, nurses, therapists and people with cancer, is a unique combination of complementary therapies and self-help techniques. It is designed to work alongside medical treatment and is supported by leading oncologists and others in the healthcare field.

The Bristol Approach:

  • Is a programme of lifestyle advice, information, complementary therapies and self-help techniques
  • Provides support through your treatment and recovery
  • Supports positive health, physical and psychological wellbeing
Through the courses at Penny Brohn Cancer Care we can help you:
  • Cope with the emotional aspects of a cancer diagnosis
  • Manage fear and anxiety
  • Deal with the specific problems and challenges a cancer diagnosis brings
  • Manage and reduce symptoms and treatment side-effects
  • Improve your health and energy
With all of this support we have seen that it is possible to change the way you live with cancer.

It must be alright - Charlie has given it "a big tick"

I have always admired the Charity’s work to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to people with cancer and their loved ones. When it comes to compassion in healing, the Bristol Approach is second to none" HRH The Prince of Wales, Patron

  1. Its a great idea to being doing something pro-active other than the physical treatment.
