Lyra and bikes it is then!
Job done - sponsored cycle ride from Windsor to Bristol in aid of cancer charity of Ella's choice! - See last post titled "Keep on Keeping On"..... to see how it all started.
Timing - can it be when Ella is well enough to join us on the last leg????
So far then that's:
Uncle's x 3, Marion, Mike, Anna and Jo......... and counting.......
Sounds like a grand plan and something to work towards.
I will do it if out of term time. But I must warn you I am no Paul Roberts! Haha. Also, if it is after his operation and recovery I'm sure he'll be eager to get back on a bike! xxx
A meeting of minds is needed next time the girls are back in town. Let's try and work out when a group of us can get together to discuss. In my mind I am thinking about a 2 day ride on sat/sun with us travelling upto Windsor on the Friday and heading off early sat morning with a pub stop over sat night. We would need to consider a support vehicle for bikes to transport up and follow us on the ride. Loads to think about and all very exciting and also raising money for cause of Ella's choice. I was thinking maybe August to tie in with summer hols, also time for us all to train and buy a bike !! Ella may also be ok to join or support us at some point. Have no fear folks of the names mentioned there is no Lance Armstrong amongst us !! key is to get a date sorted and a night when we can meet up to discuss.
How about a meeting at Jo's on Sunday 6th May(BHW) at 6pm to sort out dates/details/riders/support team. Windsor Castle to Bristol Council House or Oncology Unit? The Tarzey Family know Ian Onions at Evening Post quite well so publicity will be easy....smile
