- Something goes wrong (yesterday Ella had some very heavy nosebleeds, worrying and debilitating for her, but we got through it)
- You bump into someone you haven't seen for a long time and have to break the news to them - the shock on their face tells it all and I feel so sorry to be telling them
- A Christmas card arrives from friends you only correspond with at Christmas - of course they don't know and their cards quite rightly are full of Christmas jollity and lovely exciting normal news
- You cant actually do something that most people wouldn't think twice about doing - getting to a party, going to work all day or something else fairly normal

and then it hits you
A lot of the time its quite easy to forget that Ella has cancer or Sophie has anorexia. Strange as that may sound - it's just business as usual most days - until .................
