A bit of "magic and monster".................

9am - Oncology hospital with 3 x Doctors and 1 x nurse:

• Discuss chemo regime for this week
• Potassium levels low in blood - get it sorted
• Haemoglobin down - more blood please
• What about chemo next week - "lets decide at the end of this week"!
• When and who will take the stitches out from the last operation
• Book a dietitian - low protein levels, shes got to run the equivalent of a marathon in January (operation)
• The telly is not working - who can fix that
• and on and on and on..............................

2pm - CAMS (Children and Adolescent mental health services) - with 1 x doctor 1 x family therapy worker 1 x Psychiatrist

• How have the last six weeks gone
• What shall we do next
• Silence
• More questions and discussion............................................

God love the NHS - its a mixture of "magic and monster" (thank you Fiona for that wonderful expression).  I am so grateful that we have the NHS - but its exhausting and frustrating as well.
