.....said Ella's oncologist - like she hasn't climbed one already!
Recap - three cycles of chemo which started last September, big operation in January and then the news that instead of the original plan for just three more cycles of chemo - there was to be more! So cycle 4 was started a few weeks ago and then as you know Ella got really ill (due to the chemo) - so cycle 4 has not even been completed yet!!!! They hope to start it again in the middle of next week if she is well enough and then start cycle 5 the week after (each cycle takes four weeks - and involves two sessions of about 5 days in hospital).
Then of course there is the second operation to be carried out on her arm, they are not sure when they will do that - they want to load as much chemo as possible on board to ensure they zap every potential cancer cell that may or mayn't be lurking in her body.
So a bloody MASSIVE mountain to climb, which is going to so hard, dangerous and unpredictable.
Anybody got any good mountaineering equipment?

ReplyDeleteWell I have some kit but, but not the sort you need! What I do know, having scaled some relatively small mountains (by comparison), is that their summits can be reached and it is amazing when your get there. The effort always seems worthwhile.
