The first day of spring and 20,000 hits

Glory Be!

We have made it through the long winter months.  I started this blog just as we were turning back the clocks and facing short days and the usual uninspiring British winter.  Add to that the ongoing battle against cancer and anorexia – there really was nothing very much to look forward to.   There have been some truly awful and ghastly moments (well hours or days actually) during the long winter months, but somehow or another we have made it through – helped hugely by all of you willing us on.  Your unrelenting support and help in whatever shape it has come has been and remains so massively reassuring, comforting, and helpful.

You clearly love this blog –  its just clocked up 20,164 hits/page views – that’s a lot of reading, so thank you – remember this is my therapy “to write it down” – every time you comment or just read it – you help me massively. Its gone “global” – Australia, USA, Philippines, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Canada – to name but a few.

So as the clocks spring forward and we look forward to longer days, sunshine and more time outdoors – hopefully the journey is getting shorter and less bumpy.  I have learnt enough to know that there will undoubtedly be twists, turns and more low points.  Plans will not remain fixed and will have to be quickly altered, accepted and adapted too.  But there will be moments of pure joy, laughter and pleasure and of course there is always hope – and all of you.

With love and thanks

  3. When think back to October, just another reminder of how strong you have all been and how far all of you have come since the winter months, your ability to stay strong in what is inevitably an up and down time is inspiring and what will get you through this next leg of the journey (the spring weather no doubt will help as well ~ beautiful piccies in the last few posts). As ever thoughts, wishes, strange juicing ingredients, and bucket loads of love to you all at Allington&various hospitals xx
