Mostly we get on with life, and like everyone have a rhythm and routine that is comforting, familiar and reassuring. It's not a rhythm or routine that any of us would have selected and said that will do for me. But its the one that has evolved and gets us through day by day or at times hour by hour.
But sometimes we remember its not a "normal" rhythm - in fact it's so far from normal its weird. And then we remember why its not normal and we/one howls, crys, screams and sobs - and let the anger, the fear and the total unfairness escape. Gradually the howling stops and then firmly, quietly and gently the rhythm is resumed.....
Wow Jo...

Nice to see you too Kim. I can relate to the feeling Jo so eloquently describes, when you temporarily focus on the reality of something unpleasant going on in life. I guess it is the opposite of the relief you get when waking from a bad dream.
ReplyDeleteBob - interesting re nightmares, I am going through a period of having a lot of these. I think I am relieved when I wake up - it takes a while, and often I can't even remember what the nightmare was about!
