New balls please..

Ella made it to Wimbledon - a whole day away from Bristol not involving a hospital.

Suffice to say she loved every bit of it.

Thank heavens for :

1.  Centre Court now having a roof - rain did not stop play

2.  Penelope Pitstop aka the very wonderful Lorraine Palmer - who got my girl there and back in one piece in her fab car - a massive thank you :)

For the record here is the score board for the day - ladies quarter finals - apparently Serena was awesome.

  1. What an experience...... And Serena showed her soft side today...... Now I realise why my text ' say hi to Roger for me' got no response...... You were watching the ladies not the men..... Lol ! 40 love to Ella ...... Well done driver!

  3. I just laughed out loud at the Penelope Pitstop reference - you are such a clever blogger Jo!! She was always my favorite on Wacky Races. Thrilled Ella made it and saw come good tennis. Ian and I kept running in to the kitchen at work to see if we could see Ella on the t.v - did anyone catch a glimpse?

Love to you at Allington Road and "Go Andy Murray"!

  4. So glad Ella was at Centre Court.

I too loved the Penelope Pitstop pic - just like Lorraine too in her fancy car with the roof down and blond hair! The Wacky races were being discussed earlier this week when I was in France - may have been the French drivers we were talking about on narrow country lanes! Poor old Dick Dastardly always came to a sad end:-)
