...Hello.
She was very keen for me to update you all.
So short and sweet at the end of a long day - the operation went very well and was much shorter than planned, apparently everything was easy and quick to do.
So by about 4pm she was back in the recovery room - where she will remain over night to have one on one nursing.
Lots of tubes in and out, pain being managed via morphine.
I have just spent the last few hours sitting with her (not many visitors make it to the inner sanctum of the recovery room, but suffice to say we are well known and everyone always remembers Ella), and she is fairly comfortable and calm.
Hopefully she will have a good night and return to the ward tomorow morning
Thank you for all your wonderful messages, prayers and support - looks like they might have worked
