It's been very hard work trying to piece together events and next steps between the plastics and orthopaedic teams. One says one thing and the other says another. Not helped by the fact Ella is now "low priority" (great news in many ways, but frustrating in others!).
The bigs guns werent around today - so we have been dealing with the junior doctors who have taken some knocking into shape, we are nearly there!
So one more drain to come out - once its out - Ella can come home, so that may just be tomorow, or Sunday or Monday.
Then two weeks of not moving her arm at all (not even to wash!) - a review meeting on Monday 20 August back in Oxford.
Anyway - settling in for potentially the very last weekend Ella will spend in hospital - lots of Olympics to watch and keeping the local Waitrose tills busy with goody purchases.
Thanks for the update Jo, fingers crossed for an early discharge. Well done Murray in to Gold/Silver final, but girls look like losing to Canada at football. I am going to check out the Olympic Park tomorrow (athletics). Come on Team Redman, come on TeamGB!
ReplyDeleteHi I too can remember your Mum and jigsaws; she was a real expert! Great news that Ella is low priority and fingers crossed for a speedy release to go home! Enjoy the olympics, Peter is, and also the Waitrose goodies; you all deserve them. Love Anne and Peter x
