..because that's one of the key reasons I started this blog nearly 12 months ago.
Tonight I have to write it down again.....
Ella has really not been well again over the past few days, Tuesday was the high point of the week the rest has been a bit of a low.
Ongoing temperatures, "peaky look", combined with a lot of aches and pains in her elbow and lower arm.
We went to see Dr D (her oncologist) at the Oncology hospital on Thursday, he took an x ray of her arm and lungs and confirmed that all looked OK, blood tests were all positive. He checked in with the Oxford team - who were "relaxed" but glad they are seeing us on Monday. So some reassurance, but the nagging worry and fear persists and of course the overall discomfort of being unwell. "IT'S NOT FAIR" - has been a common grumble - dam right IT'S NOT FAIR! Ella has done her time of sitting in on a Friday night.
So we will muddle through the weekend and busy ourselves accordingly - for me its always better to do than sit and do nothing, and then head off to Oxford on Monday with jangling nerves and trepidation.
Our McMillan nurse has been outstanding today - providing emotional and practical support.
There was a high on Thursday - Sophie doing just great based on feedback from her team :)
Too right it is not fair; sorry to hear Ella not well but hope perhaps this morning she is feeling a bit better. Good news about Sophie. Love Anne

ReplyDeleteVery, very not fair, especially as you were all beginninging to let go a little and relax. So hopefully sun is shining in Bristol today and Ella is feeling a little more comfortable and that Monday brings you the reassurance you all need to know that progress is on track.
