....slipped away just before 1am this morning.
One minute she was here the next she was gone.
I held her hand tight and selfishly pleaded with her not to go - but as I know you will all say - thank goodness the pain is over and she is peaceful now.
We (Bob Redman, Sophie, Andy, Jim and Bob Tarzey) then spent the rest of the night with her at Allington Rd - as I blog she is tucked up in bed with many of her favourite things around her.
So soon the the day will start and events and practicalities will unfurl and sort themselves.
But for just for now all is peaceful and calm at Allington Rd.
We love you Ella Redman - and can't quite begin to imagine the way forward.
RIP Ella ....... It was a privelege..... Uncle Jim xxx

ReplyDeleteJo, Sophie, Bob, Jim, Andy,Bob,
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to find the right words to say. However Aza mentioned dignity and when I was trying to get the right words in my head that was one of them. You and Ella have all dealt with this as a family with wonderful dignity and courage and generosity to all of us.
They say you can learn from your children and this must be true for you. And along the way you have taught a great deal to all of us ..we have looked at our lives and lifestyles again and realise what really matters..to get off the treadmill and appreciate the important things.
As you said Jo "what a girl".

ReplyDeleteJust a little note to let you know that Ella was always the kind of girl i wished i could be.
She was beautiful, a timeless beauty. Totally unaware on how truly gorgeous, she was! Which made her ever more graceful.
Smart and modest, wise beyond her years and had had such a warm-hearted nature. I never heard her join in with cruel gossip, not once! She will always be in my thoughts and be my inspiration to be the best person i can be.
It was a pleasure to have known such a rare flower.

We missed the news until today.
ReplyDeleteSearching to find the right words...
Our deepest sympathy to you and all your family.
Clare and I have been moved and deeply touched by your openness and love that we have witnessed through your blog. We are digging out some photos of Ella when she was a brilliant fashion model for Clare

Jo, Bob and Soph. Just read the news and I am so very sorry.
ReplyDeleteI will always remember Ella from her primary school days where she stood out in the playground simply because she was so beautiful - a very natural beauty from a very young age - a rare thing.
More recently we would sometimes pass in the mornings, Ella on her way to school, me on my way to work and she would pause, take her headphones out of her ears and we would share a few words before we carried on with our days.
My heart goes out to all of you. Love Jules xxx
Jo, Bob and Sophie,
ReplyDeleteI'll always remember all the great times spent with Ella through the years at Primary school. Sleepovers, dance routines to Steps and S-Club 7 and trips to David Lloyds.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family,
Ella will be truly missed.
All my Love,
Pascale Treloar
Jo, Bob, Spohie,

Jo, Bob and Sophie,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ella sounds like she was a truly remarkable young woman.I have very happy memories of my English Christmas spent with you and the girls - walking with them up Brandon Hill to the Park - splashing in puddles-feeding the hedgehog cat food in the back yard - the cold and the wonderful hospitality of a English Christmas breakfast round your kitchen table Jo. Although I only knew Ella as a young girl I have happy memories of my time spent in her company- She had such a bright and bubbly personality. All my love to you all.

Jo, Bob & Sophie,
ReplyDeleteWords fail me, I have just heard your terribly sad news via Gaynor's lovely message and photo on Facebook.
I have been directed to you blog and had no idea what you and the family have been trough this past 18 months.
I have had a cry and just wanted to let you know, you are in my thoughts and hope Thursday is as beautiful as the lovely Ella. Keep strong and take each day one step at a time.
All our love Carolyn, Pre and girls xxxx
I met Ella on Art Foundation. She befriended everyone there, was always so lovely and no one ever had a bad word to say about her. She was absolutely stunning, and I know all the girls were very jealous! We spent the day together in Brighton to do the Interior Architecture interview, where I also met you Jo. Hearing this news has been the most awful, shocking thing. However reading her posts just shows how brilliant a person she was. You must be so proud of her. She will be hugely missed. And I send my love to you all. Good luck Ella, I hope to see you again xx Sophie xx
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely wonderful messages, they all help a bit - thank you . I read them over and over again - drinking in all the words :)
