A time to grieve, celebrate and say farewell...

....to Ella.

Thursday 29 November 2012
Memorial Woodlands, Near Thornbury, Bristol

The ceremony will be at 12.30, please feel free to arrive from 11 and enjoy the surroundings, have a cup of coffee and catch up with friends.

There will be things that you can practically do along with laughing and crying

  • Sprigs of Rosemary with tags will be available for you to write messages to Ella on, that you can  put into her grave after the committal
  • There will be memory books for you to stick a favourite photo into that you are happy to share and leave, along with a few words to tell the story behind the photo
  • There will be lots of photos of Ella to look at from the embarrassing baby ones - through to her first modelling shots
  • Listen to Ella's favourite music - which will be playing in the background throughout the day
During the ceremony some of Ella's friends and family will be paying tribute to her - there will also be a an "open floor" moment - where anyone else can stand up and say a few words if they feel inclined  (not mandatory) - so you may want to give that some thought.

After the ceremony and burial, there will be plenty more time to catch up with refreshments available to sustain and keep us going.

"What to wear" - is a question I have been asked many times.  The answer is simple - wear what ever you would normally wear when you see Ella - but make sure you are wrapped up very warm and remember shoes/boots that you don't mind getting muddy and will keep your feet dry and warm.

Please don't send flowers, but if you would like to make a donation in memory of Ella, that would be lovely.  The donations will be split between St Peters Hospice and the Bone Cancer Research Trust.  If you can't make Woodlands on Thursday, but would still like to make a donation - please forward to my brother Jim Tarzey at 17 Old School Lane, Clifton Wood, Bristol, BS8 4TY.

Ella, my lovely - I think we are doing it right.
