..and that's just me, never mind Ella - who is to wiped to even blog this evening.
Long old day at the Oncology hospital - starting with a blood transfusion, (Ella confirmed with a very low blood count around 6pm yesterday), then finally the first radiotherapy session.
Lots of tears, pain, emotion and utter exhastion throughout the day.
First impressions of radiotherapy (from me!):
Lots of internal double glazed windows and doors everywhere - "are we in a leisure centre"?
Ella looking like a scene from "the Matrix" with green laser criss cross lines all over her
The Bee Gees "How Deep is Your Love" playing in the background (no, really - radio I think?) as I leave her on the slab to be zapped!
Were there any 3 BT moments - yes of course, mainly about all the staff - who were so lovely to Ella everywhere we went and did their very best to get her through the system as smoothly as possible.
More blood and radiotherapy tomorrow... so another 4-5 hours at the hospital.
...... Do something amazing - GIVE BLOOD
Clearly not an easy day...hope tonight brings a good nights sleep. Now you know more about what to expect tomorrow we're wishing you a more comfortable day, both physically and mentally xxx
ReplyDeleteSee you both soon, love U bob x x x
