Often there is nothing anyone can do ...... but there is always one thing you can all do without exception.
1. Either go and give blood yourself
2. If you cant, then encourage others you know to do it.
Over the past two weeks Ella has needed six units of blood (so that's six different people who have gone to a donor session and given blood that have made that possible). If I was a betting person, I would put money on Ella needing more blood next week, and maybe even the week after, and.............of course she is just one of thousands of people needing blood every day in the UK.
So, I know I have asked before, but please DO SOMETHING AMAZING
It costs you nothing, except some time.
2nd session booked Sis - 21st December...... Please do as Jo says, if you are in a position to do so....... It's all about time I know but this is a good trigger to start becoming a blood doner, or as in my case restart after a long break of not 'giving blood'....... It's also an excellent regular health check for you! Uncle Jim
ReplyDeleteDitto, my second one this year booked in! We're thinking of you all the time, hope this week is a little easier for all of you than last week... Thankyou for your incredible blog(s), it amazes me still that you have the will to keep us all informed at such a tough time. Smerry xxx
ReplyDeleteThere with you guys have given 5 pints up to date and the 6th is due in Dec.
ReplyDeleteFrom the TA in Whiteladies Road, Council House and now Colston Hall different venues but the results is that I will and do encourage everyone to do the same! So there for you girls.

Have been a regular donor since I was 17 and since narrowly avoiding needing a transfusion after having Maddi and spending so much time with Mum during her time at Oncology I annoy the hell out of people constantly about giving blood!! I shall continue to do so too!! Much love xx
